Stella Walton, RPA, CEO and Owner of SterlingPillar, opened and managed the Valor Construction Group office in Raleigh, NC in 2017 before she purchased and re-branded the company to SterlingPillar in April 2020. Stella is responsible for business development, financial planning, marketing initiatives, and overseeing company operations.

Prior to her acquisition of SterlingPillar, she spent over 25 years of her career in the Commercial Real Estate field, in senior-level positions. She has served as Vice President of Asset Services for CBRE (Raleigh, NC), Senior Vice President of Asset Services for Grubb Properties (Raleigh, NC), and as Partner/Director of Asset Services for Mission Property Company/Eakin & Smith/Colliers Turley Martin Tucker (Nashville, TN). While serving in these roles throughout her career in CRE, Stella and her team were responsible for all project management and capital improvement projects on the portfolio of commercial real estate up to 11M SF. She also served on the development team for several Class A commercial office building projects in Brentwood, TN. Her experience makes her aptly aware of our client’s needs and drives her client-focused approach to company leadership. Stella has a plethora of long-standing relationships with many CRE asset managers, project managers, brokers, and building owners throughout the Southeast that contribute to SterlingPillar’s strong reputation and consistent growth over the last seven years.

She is 30-year member of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW), where she served as the 2023-24 Triangle CREW President and on the Board in varying capacities over the past 30 years in both Nashville and Raleigh. In 2024, she was recognized for a lifetime of service to her community and received the TCREW Professional Service Award. Stella is also Past President of BOMA-Nashville and BOMA-Raleigh.

In addition to her business profession, Stella and her husband, Tom, are active members at Holy Name of Jesus Cathedral in Raleigh, NC where she serves as the Chair of the Pastoral Council, and they are both Eucharistic Ministers and Mass Coordinators. She also volunteers monthly at Oak City Cares and quarterly with the Wake County Women’s Center.
